SPELLING DIFFERENTIATION

There is a lot of difference between American English and British English. British English is the old one with the time American English has taken place or you can say overcome everywhere.
Our computer systems are coded with American English if you type the old spellings of words that we learned in British English. It will show you the red line down to the word. It seems to be wrong.

In American English, The silent letters are removed from British  English words. Some points that we observed:
  • The word in which 'ou' is there but while pronouncing 'u' is silent. American English removes that 'u' from the word. For example, LABOUR became LABOR
  • The word in which  'll' is there, American English changes it to 'l' because one l is silent. For Example, TRAVELLED became TRAVELED
  • American English change 're' in 'er' For Example- CENTRE became CENTER
  • It also changed 'se' to 'ce' For Example: PRACTISE to PRACTICE
  • It also changed some 'se' to 'ze'. For Example:ORGANISE to ORGANIZE
